About The Position

Certified Nursing Assistants work alongside fellow caregivers to provide residents with daily nursing care and services based on each resident’s plan of care and individual needs. They also provide companionship, compassion, and encouragement. The position is located at Avalon Springs Health Campus in Valparaiso, Indiana.

Requirements

• Active state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED/HSE preferred.
• 0–1 years of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help residents with personal hygiene activities and with turning, lifting, positioning, and transporting them as needed for activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in residents’ conditions and make independent decisions when needed.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure patient comfort and well-being.
• Provide companionship, compassion, and encouragement to residents.
• Maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
