CNA Certified Nursing Assistant
About The Position
Hickory Creek Winamac is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to support residents’ well-being and help create a warm, supportive, homelike environment. CNAs build meaningful relationships with residents and staff, provide individualized care that values dignity and respect, and offer companionship and reassurance. The position is available full-time and part-time, with evening, every-other-weekend day, and night options listed. This facility is part of American Senior Communities (ASC), an Indiana long-term care provider. Requirements
- Hold a valid, current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Indiana.
- Be able to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and assisting with resident mobility.
- Have a strong passion for geriatric nursing and a commitment to excellence in senior care.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to create a comforting and engaging atmosphere.
- Collaborate with nursing and healthcare teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning, to prevent discomfort and promote independence.
- Assist residents during mealtimes, supporting proper nutrition and individual dietary needs.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
