About The Position

Birmingham Green is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to support residents at its nursing home and assisted living facilities. The role is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and includes working every other weekend. The CNA helps residents feel comfortable and cared for by supporting daily living and health needs. Requirements

• Active Virginia CNA license.
• Completed CNA training.
• Current Adult CPR and First Aid certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; polished, patient, and courteous.
• Basic computer, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Punctuality and ability to work the full established schedule.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, turn, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of experience in long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Take and record vital signs and measure intake and output.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document resident care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist residents with ambulation and transportation.
• Serve trays and assist residents with eating.
• Change bed linens to provide a clean and comfortable environment.
• Maintain a restraint-free environment and support fall prevention programs.
• Participate in surveys, inspections, in-service classes, and staff meetings.
• Complete appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.
• Provide post-mortem care as needed.
