About The Position

Birmingham Green is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, person-centered care to senior residents in its nursing home and assisted living facilities. The position is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and requires working every other weekend. The role supports residents’ physical health and overall well-being in a welcoming environment grounded in stewardship, inclusiveness, and passion.

Requirements

• Active Virginia CNA license.
• Completed CNA training.
• Current Adult CPR and First Aid certification.
• Adherence to the Five Behaviors: I learn, I care, I energize, I include, and I engage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; polished, patient, and courteous manner.
• Basic computer, math, and problem-solving skills.
• Punctuality and ability to work the full established schedule.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Take and record vital signs and measure intake and output.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and interdisciplinary team members.
• Document resident care and maintain accurate medical records.
• Assist residents with ambulation and transportation.
• Serve meal trays and assist residents with eating.
• Change bed linens to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
• Help maintain a restraint-free environment and support fall-prevention programs.
• Participate in surveys, inspections, in-service classes, and staff meetings.
• Complete appropriate forms, reports, evaluations, and studies.
• Provide post-mortem care as needed.
