About The Position

Larksfield Place Retirement Communities is a locally managed, not-for-profit continuing care retirement community in Wichita, Kansas. The Health Care Center is seeking PRN Certified Nursing Assistants to work every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, with opportunities on first, second, and third shifts. Additional hours may be available based on staffing needs. The role offers a predictable weekend rotation and the flexibility of as-needed employment.

CNAs provide hands-on resident care, support residents’ daily activities, communicate changes in condition to the nursing team, and help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. PRN positions are not eligible for regular employee benefits or the attendance bonus.

Requirements

• Active Kansas Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
• Dependable attendance and commitment to the assigned every-other-weekend rotation.
• Strong communication skills and a resident-centered approach to care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or a similar healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, including assistance with activities of daily living.
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and meals.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions to the nursing team.
• Take and document vital signs and other resident care information as directed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Collaborate with nurses and fellow team members to deliver resident care.
• Promote resident dignity, independence, and well-being.
