About The Position

Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital is an inpatient rehabilitation hospital affiliated with Select Medical. It provides care for individuals facing medical, physical, emotional, and vocational challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Certified Nursing Assistant supports patients with daily care, mobility, comfort, and transportation.

Requirements

• Have an active CNA license in the state.
• Hold a certified BLS credential or complete BLS within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
• Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
• Deliver meals and snacks, feed patients who cannot feed themselves, and document oral intake, including supplements.
• Safely turn and position immobile patients while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
• Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
• Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
