About The Position

Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide high-quality care to long-term care residents. The role involves supporting residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being according to their individual needs and care plans. The position is based in Hendricks, Minnesota, at an independent healthcare facility in a small-town setting.

The day shift runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Weekend and holiday rotations are required. The starting hourly wage is $22.50, with the rate based on experience. Weekend and shift differentials are available.

Requirements

• Successfully complete a state-approved nursing assistant training program.
• Have a genuine interest in geriatrics.
• Be able to provide quality resident care according to individual care plans.
• Be able to work as part of a team.
• Know safety and emergency procedures applicable to a long-term care facility.
• Be able to exercise independent judgment and maintain emotional stability under stressful conditions.
• Be flexible in changing situations and emergency needs.
• Be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Be able to perform moderate to heavy physical work, including frequent standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 25 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a healthcare facility is preferred; the employer is willing to train.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with residents’ personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, eating, mobility, and other activities of daily living according to individual care plans.
• Attend to residents’ physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.
• Communicate and interact positively with residents and respond appropriately to resident behaviors.
• Work collaboratively with coworkers for the benefit of residents and the facility.
• Follow safety and emergency procedures for a long-term care facility.
• Practice infection control procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise independent judgment and emotional stability under stressful conditions.
• Adapt to changing situations and emergency needs.
