About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides compassionate, hands-on support to residents in the Skilled Nursing department at Via Christi Village Manhattan in Manhattan, Kansas. The role assists with daily living activities, mobility, and personal care; observes residents and reports changes in their condition; helps maintain a clean and safe environment; and partners with nurses in resident care and physician-ordered procedures.

Requirements

• Nurse Aide certification obtained before the hire date or job transfer date is required.

Nice To Haves

• BLS Provider certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with residents’ daily living activities, mobility, and personal care.
• Observe residents and report changes in physical, mental, or emotional condition to nursing staff.
• Identify hazards and promptly report safety concerns to nurses to help maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Partner with nurses to assist with physician-ordered procedures and resident care.
