About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a travel assignment in a Long-Term Care neurobehavioral unit. This role involves caring for residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia, Parkinson’s, and behavioral health conditions in a secure and structured environment.
Requirements
- Active CNA Certification
- BLS Certification
- Minimum 1 year of CNA experience
- Comfortable working in a behavioral/dementia care environment
- Willingness to float based on facility needs
Nice To Haves
- Experience in LTC or dementia care
- Knowledge of Alzheimer’s and behavioral health support
- Patient transfer and mobility assistance
- Infection control and PPE usage
- Accurate documentation and reporting
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, grooming, dressing, toileting)
- Support ambulation, transfers, repositioning, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and patient condition changes
- Provide dementia-focused and behavioral care in a secure unit
- Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
- Assist with hygiene care including bed baths, linen changes, and catheter care
- Operate equipment such as wheelchairs, Hoyer lifts, commodes, and hospital beds
- Collaborate with nursing staff and care teams
