Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring Home Health Certified Nursing Assistants in Columbus, Georgia, to provide one-to-one care to seniors and people with illnesses, injuries, or chronic diseases in their homes. The role involves visiting multiple residents while providing individualized care. CNAs work with home health nurses and aides to follow each patient’s care plan and report issues that may require changes to care, medication, or medical equipment. The position offers $18 per hour, the ability to make your own schedule, independent work, online training and CEUs, and tuition discounts through Rasmussen University. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active Nursing Assistant certification and a valid CNA license in Georgia.
- In-person CPR and First Aid certification.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license, auto insurance, and transportation.
- At least 2 years of experience as a CNA.
- Compassionate nature and good communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of the services provided.
Responsibilities
- Provide home-based care to seniors and people with an illness, injury, or chronic disease.
- Assist with daily activities, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, hygiene, nail and skin care, eating, and nutritional intake.
- Assist with ambulation, transfers, and range-of-motion exercises.
- Check vital signs, measure intake and output, monitor blood glucose, and document changes.
- Work with home health nurses and aides to ensure the patient’s care plan is followed.
- Observe patients and notify a supervisor about issues that may require a change in care, medication, or medical equipment.
- Explain services provided to other residents.
