About The Position

Visiting Angels of Reading is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide one-on-one assistance to clients in Berks and Northern Chester County. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available, with day, evening, and overnight shifts and schedules of varying lengths. The role includes helping clients with personal care, household tasks, meals, mobility, transportation, and companionship. CNA certification is a plus but is not required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of experience caring for seniors and/or disabled adults, professionally or personally.
• Reliable transportation.
• Reliability and professionalism.
• Enjoy assisting others.
• References and background checks will be performed.

Nice To Haves

• Dementia or Alzheimer's experience.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including oral care, bathing, toileting, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping, including laundry, dishes, and vacuuming.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals.
• Assist with transfers, walking, and physical activity.
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, errands, and shopping.
• Provide companionship and cheerful, positive assistance.
