Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join the Emergency Department. Under the direction and guidance of professional and nursing personnel, the selected candidate performs patient care activities and related non-professional services to address the personal needs and comfort of patients of all ages. The position assists with cardiopulmonary resuscitation, circulates in the Emergency Department, and transports patients to radiology and other units. This is a full-time, day-shift position, scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Rotating weekends and holidays are required. Other hours may be required for the effective operation of the department.
Requirements
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- High school diploma.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
Nice To Haves
- Unit Secretary experience, including clerical and computer experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities and related non-professional services to meet patients’ personal needs and comfort.
- Assist with cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Assist as a circulator in the Emergency Department.
- Transport patients to radiology and other units.
