About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs duties in the treatment and care of patients and residents according to established methods and procedures. The CNA works under the direction of the Nurse Manager and the Assistant Nurse Manager, RNs, and LPNs on duty. This is an onsite role at Seneca View Skilled Nursing Facility in Montour Falls, New York, with an evening shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM and work every other weekend.

Requirements

NYS CNA certification.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED.
Patient care experience.
Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Assist patients and residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, morning and evening care, oral care, grooming, comfort measures, and other general care throughout the shift.
Help prepare the unit, patient or resident rooms, and beds for admissions, transfers, discharges, and emergencies.
Obtain vital signs and blood sugars and document findings.
Prepare and assist patients with meals and nourishment, and distribute and offer assistance with drinking water and other nourishment.
Support nursing staff by answering call bells promptly, stocking rooms and carts, and reporting abnormal findings.
Promote patients' and residents' quality of life and rights, including privacy and confidentiality.
Document appropriately and thoroughly in the EMR and/or Point Click Care.
