Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Weekend Package
About The Position
Lutheran Homes & Health Services, an Illuminus Community, provides assisted living, skilled nursing, and short-term rehabilitation services to older adults in Fond du Lac and the surrounding area. The organization is a faith-based, not-for-profit senior living management company whose mission is to serve older adults and families with skill and compassion. The Certified Nursing Assistant provides person-centered personal care and mobility assistance to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse. The position follows resident care plans and the scope of the CNA’s training, protects residents’ rights and confidentiality, documents care, and communicates resident needs to the care team. Scheduling opportunities are described as full-time, part-time, and PRN, with shifts varying according to community needs. This weekend-package role may include 8-hour shifts every weekend, with one weekend off every other month. Pay is $19.06–$22.77 per hour, based on experience. Benefits may vary based on employment status.
Requirements
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Be current on the Wisconsin Nurse Aide Registry.
Responsibilities
- Provide resident-centered personal care and mobility assistance according to care plans and scope of training.
- Protect resident rights and confidentiality.
- Accurately document care in the medical record and CareTracker.
- Report resident needs to the team leader before the end of each shift.
- Follow safety, infection control, universal precautions, PPE, body mechanics, equipment-use, and organizational policies.
- Maintain a compassionate and professional approach.
- Maintain reliable attendance and support staffing and on-call coverage.
- Complete required training and education.
- Collaborate with all disciplines to uphold the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
