About The Position

Ozanam Hall Nursing Home of Queens is a faith-based, nonprofit short-term rehabilitation and skilled geriatric care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm and serving the community since 1971. The Certified Nursing Assistant assists residents with activities of daily living, answers call lights, helps with feeding, collaborates with nurses and other CNAs, and documents care provided. The position is offered as full-time day shift or part-time day and evening shifts. Every-other-weekend work is required. Pay is $22.83 to $26.91 per hour based on experience. Requirements

• New York CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) license.

Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights and bells to determine residents’ needs.
• Assist residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair care, and incontinence care.
• Obtain food trays and assist residents with feeding.
• Assist residents with range-of-motion exercises.
• Assist residents with transfers to wheelchairs and transport to activity areas.
• Monitor and record temperature, food and fluid intake, and output.
• Meet the communication needs of residents and their families.
• Communicate changes in residents’ clinical condition.
• Collaborate with nurses and other Certified Nursing Assistants.
• Document all care provided.
