Certified Nursing Assistant - CNA - Second Shift
About The Position
Spurwink Services is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to support adults with intellectual disabilities at a 12-bed, home-like nursing facility in Lewiston. The facility has a 3:1 resident-to-staff ratio and a supportive management team. The role is on second shift and pays $24–$27 per hour depending on experience, with shift differentials. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available exclusively to new hires. CNAs provide high-quality care, including medication administration, assistance with activities of daily living and personal care, community integration, transportation as needed, and positive behavioral supports. They also report changes in residents’ physical and behavioral conditions and participate in community recreational activities.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential, current on the Maine State Registry.
- At least 1 year of CNA experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Support adults with intellectual disabilities in agency homes.
- Administer medication.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and personal care.
- Support community integration and participate in community recreational activities.
- Provide positive behavioral supports.
- Report changes in residents’ physical and behavioral conditions.
- Assist with transportation as needed.
