Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Interim HealthCare is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The role includes assisting with daily living needs, monitoring resident well-being, supporting comfort and independence, and documenting and communicating care. Opportunities are available on a PRN, part-time, or full-time contract basis, with day, evening, and night shift options and 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts. Pay is $24–$26 per hour, paid weekly. A team member is available for 24/7 on-call support. Health insurance, Aflac policies, and a 401(k) are available based on eligibility.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification in South Dakota, or the ability to obtain certification through reciprocity or endorsement, as applicable.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to adapt to different facility environments, care plans, and resident needs.
- Maintain all required certifications, credentials, and professional standards.
- Meet applicable facility-specific requirements and complete required pre-employment screenings and onboarding procedures.
Nice To Haves
- Previous CNA experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions, behaviors, or overall well-being to appropriate nursing staff.
- Measure and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respirations, as assigned.
- Assist with meals, feeding, and hydration while following individual care plans and dietary requirements.
- Provide emotional support and promote residents’ comfort, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
- Follow infection prevention protocols, facility policies, and established safety procedures.
- Document care provided and communicate important information to nursing staff and other healthcare team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of CNA certification and facility requirements.
