About The Position

Rutherford Regional, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care as delegated by a registered nurse. The role supports patients with daily living activities, monitors and documents care, reports changes to nursing staff, and helps maintain a safe and orderly care environment. The schedule is full-time, day shift, consisting of three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output accurately.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
• Observe and promptly report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Manage the tech desk and support nursing and physician staff and overall department throughput.
• Document care and activities according to unit standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education.
