About The Position

Rutherford Regional, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic patient care as delegated by a registered nurse. The role supports patient well-being and the nursing team while contributing to safe, effective care and department operations. The position is PRN as needed.

Nice To Haves

• High school degree preferred.
• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurately recording intake and output.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
• Observe and promptly report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Manage the tech desk and support nursing and physician staff and overall department throughput.
• Document care and activities according to unit standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education.
