About The Position

Rutherford Regional is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide basic patient care as delegated by a registered nurse. The CNA supports patients with activities of daily living, monitors and records relevant clinical information, observes and reports changes, and helps maintain safe and orderly patient-care areas. The role also supports the tech desk and nursing and physician staff, documents care according to unit standards, and participates in performance improvement and required education. The position is PRN as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care as delegated by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible blood glucose measurements, and accurate intake/output recording.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, eating, toileting, and ambulation.
• Observe and promptly report abnormal physical, mental, or emotional findings to nursing staff.
• Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked patient rooms and common areas.
• Manage the tech desk and support nursing and physician staff and overall department throughput.
• Document care and activities according to unit standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Participate in performance improvement and required education.
