About The Position

BAYADA Home Health Care is recruiting a Certified Nursing Assistant to serve patients on a per-visit basis in New Castle County. Following a written plan of care from a registered nurse, the CNA provides personal care, household support, and companion care to help adults remain safe and independent at home. The position involves one-on-one patient care and building close relationships with clients. Listed pay rates are $17.85–$18.85, $19.00 for VA cases, and $20.00 for pediatric cases. Requirements

Successfully complete a recognized CNA training course or a 75-hour Home Health Aide certification.
Have a passion for caregiving and private home care, and a desire to help others.
Be able to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
Deliver patient care with compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care, household support, and companion care according to a written plan of care from a registered nurse.
Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
Provide household support, including light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
Assist with ambulation and transfers, including use of mechanical lifting devices.
Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
Travel to assigned clients’ homes.
