Provides direct patient care services to participants under the direction and supervision of a nursing staff member, as assigned by the Program Director. This role involves assisting other staff, performing routine technical tasks, supporting patient admissions and discharges, reinforcing patient teaching, maintaining a clean environment, and assisting with personal care and activities. The CNA will also perform home visits, accompany patients to appointments, assist with meal service, and maintain records of care provided. They are responsible for monitoring patients and reporting any changes to the nurse, following infectious disease precautions, and participating in staff meetings and training.
