Provides direct patient care services to the participant’s under the direction and supervision of a nursing staff member, as assigned by the Program Director. This role involves assisting other staff, performing technical tasks like taking vital signs, assisting with patient admissions and discharges, reinforcing patient teaching, maintaining a clean environment, and performing home visits. The CNA also assists with ADLs, transfers, companionship, and accompanying patients to medical appointments. Additionally, they provide personal care, assist with meal serving, clean program areas, interact with patients and families, transport patients and equipment, record care given, monitor patients, and follow infectious disease precautions. The position also requires attending staff meetings and in-service training.
