Provides direct patient care services to participants under the direction and supervision of a nursing staff member, as assigned by the Program Director. This role involves assisting other staff, performing technical tasks like taking vital signs, assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges, reinforcing patient teaching, maintaining a clean environment, and considering the special needs of different patient age groups. The position also includes performing home visits, assisting with ADLs, accompanying patients to medical appointments, providing personal care, assisting with meal service, and interacting with patients and families. The Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for maintaining patient records and reporting any variances to the nurse for further assessment, while adhering to infectious disease precautions.
