The CNA/RSC/UMA provides direct care for the resident and is responsible for carrying out the needs of the resident according to the comprehensive assessment and analysis of the care plan. In collaboration with the Charge Nurse and other team members, the CNA/RSC/UMA will assure the resident's cares are being met along with other daily needs such as activities, therapies, laundry, passing medications, and maintaining the cleanliness of the resident and their room. The CNA/RSC/UMA works under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse to assist with nursing care as directed by the nurse and resident care plan. The CNA/RSC/UMA, in collaboration with all facility team members, will ensure families, residents, and other team members are educated on the residents' needs. The CNA/RSC/UMA assists each resident to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition. Their functions include personal hygiene, cleaning, comfort, medications, and safety measures, assisting with activities, and simple nursing procedures outlined in the job responsibilities. The CNA/RSC/UMA has the ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and work under close supervision. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
