About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant provides direct care for the resident and is responsible for carrying out the needs of the resident according to the comprehensive assessment and analysis of the care plan. In collaboration with the Charge Nurse and other team members, the Certified Nursing Assistant will ensure resident care needs are met, along with other daily needs such as activities, therapies, and maintaining the cleanliness of the resident and their room. The Certified Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse to assist with nursing care as directed by the nurse and resident care plan. In collaboration with all facility team members, the Certified Nursing Assistant will ensure families, residents, and other team members are educated on the resident's needs. The Certified Nursing Assistant assists each resident to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition. Certified Nursing Assistant functions include: personal hygiene, cleaning, comfort and safety measures, assisting with activities, and simple nursing procedures outlined in the job responsibilities. The Certified Nursing Assistant has the ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and work under close supervision. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be a certified CNA.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work under close supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Must have covid vaccine or exemption.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care for the resident.

  • Assures resident cares are being met along with other daily needs such as activities, therapies, and cleanliness of the resident and their room.
  • Assists with nursing care as directed by the nurse and resident care plan.
  • Assures families, resident and other team members are educated with the resident’s needs.
  • Assists each resident to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition.
  • Performs personal hygiene, cleaning, comfort and safety measures.
  • Assists with activities and simple nursing procedures.
