About The Position

The CNA/RSC/UMA provides direct care for the resident and is responsible for carrying out the needs of the resident according to the comprehensive assessment, analysis of the care plan. The CNA/RSC/UMA, in collaboration with the Charge Nurse and other team members, will assure the resident's cares are being met along with other daily needs such as activities, therapies, laundry, passing medications, and cleanliness of the resident and their room. The CNA/RSC/UMA works under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse to assist with nursing care as directed by the nurse and resident care plan. The CNA/RSC/UMA, in collaboration with all facility team members, will assure families, residents, and other team members are educated on the residents' needs. The CNA/RSC/UMA assists each resident to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition. Their functions include: personal hygiene, cleaning, comfort, medications and safety measures, assisting with activities, and simple nursing procedures outlined in the job responsibilities. The CNA/RSC/UMA has the ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions and work under close supervision. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be CNA Certified.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older for CNA and RCS.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Must have covid vaccine or exemption.
  • Must either have or be able to obtain CPR within 4 months of hire.
  • Ability and willingness to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work under close supervision.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct care for the resident.

  • Assists with nursing care under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse.
  • Educates families, residents, and team members on resident needs.
  • Assists residents to achieve and maintain the highest level of health and physical condition.
  • Performs personal hygiene, cleaning, comfort, medication, and safety measures.
  • Assists with activities and simple nursing procedures.
