Certified Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide
About The Position
Elite Care Management, Inc. is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Health Aides (HHA) to join its healthcare team. The company has been a provider in the private duty health care industry for over 25 years and emphasizes exceptional patient care and improved community health outcomes. The position involves working with one patient for the entire shift to become familiar with the patient, their needs, and their family life. The caregiver assists with daily living activities, promotes comfort and well-being, and helps enhance the patient's quality of life. The position is 6 hours per week in the morning in Venice, Florida, with no weekends. Pay is $22 per hour.
Requirements
- Florida State CNA or HHA certification, or completion of a 75-hour HHA training program.
- Current CPR certification.
- Social Security card.
- Driver's license and auto insurance card.
- TB test: two-step test within the last 12 months or QuantiFERON test within the last 5 years.
Responsibilities
- Maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, or problems, and report and discuss observations with a supervisor or case manager.
- Support patient mobility by assisting with lifting and transferring as needed.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, such as changing bed linens, laundry, cleaning, or preparing meals.
- Enhance patients' quality of life and build relationships through conversation, shared activities, and mental stimulation.
- Monitor patients' pulse, temperature, and respiration.
