About The Position

RUSH Specialty Hospital, a 100-bed facility formed in partnership between Select Medical and RUSH, combines a critical illness recovery hospital with an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital. The rehabilitation hospital provides care for individuals facing challenges related to brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, neurological disorders, orthopedic issues, amputation, and multiple traumas. The Certified Nursing Assistant supports patients with clinical measurements, personal care, meals, mobility, call lights, and transportation to treatment areas. The position is full-time, with 12-hour night shifts, in Chicago, Illinois. Compensation is $20.51–$25.00 per hour based on years of experience, plus shift differentials for night and weekend shifts. Requirements

Hold an active CNA license in the state.
Have certified BLS or complete it within the first 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Hospital experience.

Responsibilities

Obtain vital signs, height, weight, and demographic data.
Assist patients with personal and daily care, including bathing, oral hygiene, shaving, and hair care.
Deliver meals and snacks; feed patients who cannot feed themselves and document oral intake, including supplements.
Turn and position immobile patients safely while maintaining proper body alignment, and participate in the mobility program.
Answer patient call lights and perform services that support patients’ physical well-being.
Transport patients to designated areas, including to and from treatment centers.
