About The Position
As a PRN Certified Nursing Assistant, you provide compassionate, hands-on care and help enhance residents’ lives. You build meaningful relationships while supporting residents’ comfort, dignity, and overall well-being. Working alongside the nursing team, you help ensure each resident receives high-quality care in accordance with their individualized care plan.
Responsibilities
- Accurately document care provided in flow sheets, notes, charts, and related records.
- Promptly report changes in a resident’s condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse.
- Greet residents and assist with escorting them to their rooms as needed.
- Participate in shift report and receive updates upon reporting for duty.
- Follow facility policies for infection control and exposure to blood and body fluids.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including oral hygiene, bathing, dressing, grooming, hair care, and nail care (excluding diabetic residents).
- Provide comfort measures such as backrubs as directed.
- Make and change beds, keeping linens clean, tight, and free of wrinkles.
- Help residents prepare for medical tests, appointments, and therapies.
- Support residents in attending activities and social programs, including church services, events, and visits with guests.
- Safely transport residents to and from appointments and activities, and within the facility as needed.
- Assist with lifting, repositioning, transferring, and ambulation using proper techniques and equipment.
- Support residents with walking, with or without assistive devices, as instructed.
