About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Edmond office is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to provide in-home care to seniors and others in need across Edmond and the surrounding Oklahoma City Metro area. The role offers an opportunity to support clients and their families through companionship and assistance with daily activities, while contributing to the local community. Caregivers may receive advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care to continue developing their skills. Shift options listed include full-time, part-time, PRN, short shifts, and 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and being a caregiver.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Provide transportation and one-on-one mobility assistance, as described in the position overview.
