About The Position

Brookhaven Hospice is seeking a full-time Hospice Aide (CNA) to provide hands-on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients receiving end-of-life care. Working closely with the nursing team, the Hospice Aide helps meet each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs with respect, empathy, and professionalism. The position covers Brookfields, Worcester, and South, and follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current, unencumbered CNA certificate in the state where the employee works.
• At least one year of CNA experience in an acute care or long-term care setting.
• Current CPR certification if required by the state.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow each patient’s plan of care to support comfort and well-being, and promptly respond to patient and family or caregiver requests.
• Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding and clothing, and shampooing.
• Provide exceptional customer service and work to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Share knowledge with patients’ families and guide and support them in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient’s home and in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
