About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living and provides basic nursing care. The role also helps maintain a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit. The position is for full-time day shifts at Hialeah Hospital.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally with all levels of the organization.
- Thorough knowledge of basic nursing functions to meet patients’ activities-of-daily-living needs.
- Ability to work rapidly under stressful situations with many interruptions.
- Successful completion of a CNA course/certification.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- CNA certification from the State of Florida.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or one year of experience as a Nursing Assistant preferred.
- Six months to one year of related work experience preferred.
