About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Milwaukee - West Allis is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants play a central role in supporting patients through vulnerable periods by providing compassionate care. This is a full-time day-shift position scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The company offers an extensive orientation program, career-development opportunities, and support for employee well-being. Requirements

High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or being an actively enrolled RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Clean instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
