About The Position

Visiting Angels Baytown is seeking compassionate Certified Nursing Assistants to provide care to senior adults and others in need in Baytown and surrounding communities, including Liberty, Raywood, Dayton, Moss Bluff, Stilson, Mont Belvieu, Crosby, and Channelview. The role supports clients with personal care, mobility, meals, light housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and other day-to-day needs. Caregivers may also receive advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. Full-time, part-time, PRN, and varying shift options are listed.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and being a caregiver.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate manner.
Good time-management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Clean background.
Willingness to work in the Baytown, Liberty, Dayton, Mont Belvieu, Crosby, and Channelview areas.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility in and around the home, including doctor’s appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
Provide transportation to clients.
