Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Part Time Days
About The Position
Parkdale Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in Price, Utah, providing care to geriatric patients who require 24/7 care. The facility is expanding its nursing team and offers a supportive team environment and opportunities to grow as a CNA. This is a part-time day-shift position. Available shifts are 6 AM to 2 PM, 2 PM to 10 PM, or 6 AM to 6 PM; the schedule depends on the employee’s availability and the facility’s needs. On-the-job training is provided and tailored to each CNA’s comfort level and experience. For candidates who are not yet certified, Parkdale Health and Rehab will pay for nursing assistant certification, valued at over $500. CNAs may also participate in nursing tuition reimbursement, with $500 per month applied toward a nursing program.
Requirements
- Hold a current CNA certification or be willing to become certified within 120 days of employment.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and residents.
- Be willing to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Answer residents’ call lights and determine their needs.
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
- Provide physical support with activities of daily living, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
- Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
- Develop relationships with residents to help ensure their stay is comfortable.
