About The Position
Mechanicsville Specialty Care, a 39-bed long-term care skilled nursing community in Mechanicsville, Iowa, is hiring a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) for day shifts. The role supports residents through daily care, health monitoring, companionship, and participation in recreational and therapeutic activities. The position is available full-time or part-time and offers a competitive hourly rate plus shift differential. Care Initiatives operates more than 40 skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Support residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to help maintain a clean and safe environment.
