About The Position
Hickory Creek at Connersville is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who wish to turn it into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon successful completion of the training and testing, graduates will have opportunities at any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further career advancement pathways in nursing available.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program and testing.
- Ability to work with and be supported by ASC instructors, nurses, and CNAs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation and feeding assistance.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Responding to patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
