About The Position
Meadow View is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who wish to turn it into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon completion and passing the state test, graduates can find employment at any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana. Additional career advancement opportunities in nursing are also available.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program.
- Passing the state testing for CNA certification.
Nice To Haves
- No previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents with meals, including transportation to the dining room and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Responding to patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing companionship.
- Providing patient care in various settings.
- Completing 30 hours of classroom work and 45 hours of hands-on clinical training.
