About The Position

Crestwood is offering a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program for individuals passionate about helping others in behavioral health. This program focuses on innovative recovery and compassionate community support, empowering clients on their journey to thrive. CNAs assist Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) with patient care, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), routine tasks, recording vital signs, and specimen collection. The program includes 168 hours of training over 10 weeks, with lectures, hands-on labs, and clinical training. Participants will be paid $20.70/hr. during training and receive tutoring for the state examination. Upon successful completion, students are eligible to sit for their State Certification Examination. The program is designed for individuals at least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma/GED, who can pass a background check, provide a letter of recommendation, and complete a health examination and required immunizations. In-house applicants must commit to a Full-Time / On-Call position on the floor for one year post-program completion. Applications are accepted in person at Crestwood Manor.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Able to pass criminal background check
  • Letter of Recommendation
  • Health Examination (provided)
  • Immunizations: Negative TB skin test, or required documentation for positive results (<12 months)
  • Must work on the floor in a Full-Time / On-Call position (pending availability)
  • Commitment to a CNA position for 1-year following the completion of CNA program.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) in patient care.
  • Assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, dressing, feeding, toileting, and ambulation/repositioning.
  • Performing routine tasks like cleaning/bed making, preparing rooms for admissions.
  • Recording food and liquid intake/output.
  • Taking vital signs.
  • Collecting specimens.
  • Gathering and stocking supplies.
