About The Position
North Capitol Nursing and Rehab is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who wish to turn it into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon successful completion of the training and testing, graduates will have opportunities within ASC's network of 100 locations across Indiana, with further career advancement pathways in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program.
- Passing the State testing.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks (hair care, brushing teeth, shaving).
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation to the dining room and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure) and recording observations.
- Answering patient call lights and responding to requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
