About The Position
Prairie Village is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program for individuals looking to turn their caring spirit into a career. This program requires no previous experience, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. Upon completion of the training and testing, graduates will have opportunities to work at any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further pathways for career advancement in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Must be looking to work evening shift.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program and testing.
- Ability to secure a position at one of ASC's Indiana-based communities.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a caregiving role is not required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Answering patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing care and companionship.
