About The Position
Salem Crossing is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a passion for compassionate care, requiring no prior experience. The program provides free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become CNAs in a few weeks. Upon successful completion and testing, graduates will have opportunities within ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further career advancement possibilities in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program and testing.
- Ability to work with and be supported by ASC instructors, nurses, and CNAs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation and feeding assistance.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Responding to patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Providing care and companionship to residents.
