About The Position
American Senior Communities (ASC) is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who are committed to providing compassionate care to residents, with no previous experience required. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon successful completion of the training and testing, graduates will have opportunities within ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further career advancement pathways in nursing available.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- No previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation to the dining room and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds, wheelchairs, and toilets.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Answering patient call lights and fulfilling resident requests.
- Providing companionship and building meaningful relationships with residents.
