About The Position
Creekside Village is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a caring spirit who want to turn it into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become a CNA in just a few weeks. Upon completion and passing the state test, graduates can find employment at any of ASC's 100 locations across Indiana, with further opportunities for career advancement in nursing.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- Completion of the Nurse Aide training program.
- Passing the state testing for CNA certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents at mealtimes, including transportation and feeding assistance.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Answering patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing companionship.
- Providing patient care in various settings.
- Performing classroom work and hands-on clinical training.
