About The Position
Avalon Village is offering a FREE Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program. This program is designed for individuals with a passion for caregiving who wish to turn their caring spirit into a career. No previous experience is required, only a commitment to providing compassionate care to residents. The program includes free classroom and hands-on training, enabling participants to become CNAs in just a few weeks. Upon successful completion of the training and testing, graduates will have opportunities within ASC's network of 100 locations across Indiana, with further career advancement pathways in nursing available.
Requirements
- Commitment to providing compassionate care to residents.
- No previous experience required.
Responsibilities
- Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming tasks.
- Helping residents with meals, including transportation to the dining room and assistance with eating and drinking.
- Repositioning and transferring residents between beds and wheelchairs, or to the toilet.
- Obtaining resident vital signs and recording observations.
- Responding to patient call lights and fulfilling requests.
- Building meaningful relationships with residents, providing companionship in addition to care.
