About The Position
The Resident Services Associate provides service and care to each resident based on the individual resident’s needs. The role supports residents in a home-like senior living community, providing assistance with daily living, responding to needs and emergencies, and helping maintain residents’ comfort, safety, and well-being. The associate also supports meal service, activities, recordkeeping, and required in-service education.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts Nurse’s Aide Registration or Home Health Aid Certificate.
- Experience and passion in working with seniors.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
- Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.
Responsibilities
- Provide an outstanding customer experience for residents, their loved ones, and other community visitors.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
- Monitor residents’ general physical and mental health and promptly report changes to Nursing Staff and/or the Executive Director.
- Respond to resident emergencies, provide first aid, and arrange appropriate medical follow-up.
- Assist residents in keeping apartments or units clean, neat, and orderly.
- Answer calls for assistance and promptly attend to residents’ needs.
- Provide medication prompting as assigned.
- Assist residents with clothing and laundry needs.
- Assist with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
- Assist with the activity program as assigned.
- Maintain records according to policy and maintain files as needed.
- Complete monthly in-service education hours as required by state-specific regulations.
