About The Position

The Resident Services Associate provides service and care to each resident based on the individual resident. The role supports residents in a senior living community by assisting with daily living needs, responding to requests and emergencies, monitoring resident well-being, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable living environment. The position is per diem.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts Nurse’s Aide Registration or Home Health Aid Certificate.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
• Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Provide an outstanding customer experience for residents, their loved ones, and other community visitors.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, and mobility.
• Remain aware of each resident’s general physical and mental health and promptly report changes to Nursing Staff and/or the Executive Director.
• Respond to resident emergencies, provide first aid, and arrange appropriate medical follow-up.
• Help residents keep apartments or units clean, neat, and orderly.
• Answer calls for assistance and attend to resident needs promptly.
• Provide medication prompting as assigned.
• Assist residents with clothing and laundry needs.
• Assist with meal selection, service, and feeding as assigned.
• Assist with the activity program as assigned.
• Maintain records according to policy and maintain files as needed.
• Complete monthly in-service education hours as required by state-specific regulations.
