About The Position

Interim HealthCare is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants and Medication Aides to provide dependable, compassionate care to residents in long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. Duties depend on the employee’s certification, assigned role, and facility requirements. The role offers scheduling options through a phone app, including PRN, part-time, full-time contract, day, evening, and night work. Compensation is $24–$27 per hour, paid weekly. A team member provides 24/7 on-call support. Health insurance, Aflac policies, and a 401(k) are available based on eligibility.

Requirements

• Hold an active Certified Nursing Assistant and/or Medication Aide certification in South Dakota, or be able to obtain certification through reciprocity or endorsement, as applicable.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Adapt to different facility environments, care plans, and resident needs.
• Maintain all required certifications, credentials, and professional standards.
• Meet applicable facility-specific requirements and complete required pre-employment screenings and onboarding procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Previous CNA or Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Administer medications as directed and within the scope of certification.
• Monitor and report changes in residents’ conditions.
• Accurately document care provided and medication administration.
• Assist with transfers, repositioning, and mobility support.
• Provide compassionate care that promotes residents’ comfort, dignity, and independence.
• Follow infection control procedures, safety protocols, and facility policies.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure quality resident care.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of certification.
