About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Registered Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses for its inpatient Detox and Residential treatment facility in Fort Collins, Colorado. The nurses provide medical care and support for clients receiving substance use treatment, including completing admission assessments, carrying out nursing shift duties, addressing medication and pharmacy needs, coordinating care with other teams, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, valid RN or LPN license in Colorado.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and labs, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
